MY CRUMBLING CASTLE
On the sand of my fancy,
On the seaside of eternity,
I built my castle,
What a mighty castle it was,
Faithful and just to me,
Then the storm broke out,
My castle started shaking,
I could hear the crackle of the roof,
Bending in compromise to the wind,
I could see the glass windows,
Trying not to explode,
I could feel the floor under my feet,
Trembling as if to run away,
I wanted to leave this castle,
Before it would crash down on me,
But how could I run away from my home,
How could I leave my castle in time of need,
So I prayed fervently,
And I decided to stand by,
My crumbling castle.
