THE VALUE OF PEACE
What is the real value,
Of the so-called peace,
Which mortals seeked from time immemorial,
What would you do to have peace?
"We would spend our fortune",whispered the mortals,
What if it was on a mountain top?
"We would climb all day",replied the mortals,
How much peace could life offer?
"Infinite,infinite",roared the mortals,
Though peace resides in our minds,
We never seem to have enough,
Real peace is remote,
Perhaps too far to be fetched,
perhaps too precious to behold,
Why then do mortals toil day and night?
Searching in vain,
For the peace that never was.
